How to Specify XYOON Cutting-Ring and Flanged Hydraulic Tube Connections

2026-11-06 0 Leave me a message

Specifying a hydraulic tube connection requires more than the tube outside diameter. The connection geometry, tube specification, sealing arrangement and mating interface must be defined as a set. Two assemblies can use the same tube size yet need different components and equipment — which is why XYOON treats cutting-ring fittings and flared-tube flange assemblies as separate families.

Choose the Connection Type

A cutting-ring connection depends on an approved body, ring, nut and tube combination. State the fitting series and whether you need a full assembly or separate parts. A flared-tube flange assembly is defined by the tube-end geometry and mating flange interface, with parts such as a flange, sleeve, insert cone and seals. Do not pick a threaded system only because it shares the same nominal flare angle.

Define the Tube Specification

Give the outside diameter, wall thickness, material and grade. Include the finished tube drawing when bends, end prep or space matter. For existing lines, add component IDs and key dimensions. These details also shape the equipment enquiry: cutting-ring pre-assembly, rotary flaring and tube end forming need different tools and process ranges.

Detail Every Mating Interface

For straight adapters, define both ends; for elbows, tees and crosses, mark each port with thread, seal and orientation. For flange connections, provide the interface designation, bolt pattern, size and the exact rating for the quoted assembly — not just a family name.

Confirm Conditions and Documents

State the fluid, temperature and design pressure. A processing machine's operating pressure is not the connection's pressure rating. Agree on inspection and documentation before ordering, and keep the approved drawing with the purchasing record.

Send a Clear Request

Submit the connection drawing, tube specification, quantity, destination and required documents. XYOON supplies cutting-ring tube fittings, nuts, rings, flange components and tube preparation equipment. Send your assembly requirements for a matched parts and equipment review.
